October 1, 2021 – NH MEP kicked off Manufacturing Month at Jewell Instruments – 850 Perimeter Rd in Manchester NH. Tim Dining, VP and General Manager of Jewell Instruments welcomed the visitors and talked about the importance manufacturing plays in the economy and the importance to raise awareness of careers in manufacturing. Jimmie Hinson, Workforce Development Administrator for NH Department of Business and Economic Affairs, spoke about the critical role Jewell instruments parts play in our everyday life. He thanked Jewell for the fascinating work they do, read the Proclamation of Manufacturing Month on behalf of Governor Sununu and presented it to Jewell Instruments. Zenagui Brahim, NH MEP President, summed it up by talking about initiatives on workforce development in NH and the great partnership with companies like Jewell and all the support of the manufacturing community. There was a facility tour and the visitors had a chance to meet young folks starting up their career in manufacturing and veterans manufacturing workers all working in harmony and contributing to a successful day to day operation.
