The New Hampshire MEP is an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP) through the State of New Hampshire.

NIST is a national network of services to improve the global competitiveness of smaller manufacturers in the United States.

Community College System of New Hampshire
The Community College System of New Hampshire provides quality education in an academic environment small enough to allow individualized attention. The College views itself as serving the needs of both the region and the state. The College supports local industry, business, service and health organizations through education and workforce development initiatives.

New Hampshire Division of Economic Development
Comprised of two centers, the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development focuses on promotional activities nationally and internationally as well as business support services within the state. The mission of the Business Resource Center (www.nheconomy.com) is to expand opportunities in the state through the attraction of new businesses and the expansion of existing businesses while the International Trade Resource Center (www.exportnh.com) works to expand opportunities for New Hampshire companies to the international marketplace.

Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire
The Business and Industry Association is New Hampshire's state chamber of commerce and leading business advocate. Our mission is to promote a healthy business climate and robust economic future for New Hampshire. Through advocacy with state legislators and regulators, we shape business-friendly public policy and provide counterbalance to legislation and regulations that threaten the growth and prosperity of New Hampshire business. BIA represents more than 400 member companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, high technology, software, professional services, financial services, health care, public utilities, hospitality and tourism, higher education, and insurance. Member firms employ 80,000 people throughout the state and contribute $4.5 billion annually to the state's economy.

Manufacturing Advancement Center
The Manufacturing Advancement Center is here to help small manufacturers in New England implement continuous improvement throughout their businesses. Our programs and services cover a wide range of essential topics, such as hands-on training in lean manufacturing, creating partnerships for technology transfer, and developing strategic plans for the manufacturing organization.

Association for Manufacturing Excellence
The Association for Manufacturing Excellence, founded in 1985, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to cultivating understanding, analysis and exchange of productivity methods and their successful application in the pursuit of excellence. We are practitioner-based, and our events and workshops focus on hands-on learning. AME publishes the award-winning Target magazine and puts on several regional and national events each year.

New England Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, Inc. (NETAAC)
NETAAC is a good investment. For 5 years (1997-2001), the New England Trade Adjustment Assistance Center, Inc. (NETAAC) provided 68 New England clients assistance that totaled $4,773,932. This was comprised of $2,314,546 of government expenditures and $2,459,386 of client share expenditures. The map below shows the number of client firms that NETAAC's programs have assisted in the New England States.

New Hampshire Machining Association
The New Hampshire Machining Association is a group of manufacturers and educators who act as a motivating force and spokesperson for the machining profession in the state. The Association was formed in 1990 to address the growing concern about the future of the industry and the shortage of technical and machining skills in the Granite State's manufacturing community.

To maintain continuity in this effort, varied programs have been designed to expand the dialogue between the industry and the educators, students, and parents at both secondary and post-secondary education levels. In addition we have developed critical working partnerships with regional machine tool and related trade associations to assist in Business to Business activities.

New Hampshire Small Business Development Center
The New Hampshire Small Business Development Center, an outreach program of the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics, provides confidential business management counseling and educational programs to New Hampshire’s small businesses. The NH SBDC is a key link to business assistance in New Hampshire, working with over 3,000 small businesses in more than 200 New Hampshire communities each year. The NH SBDC is the only NH agency that has certified business advisors who provide one-on-one, long term business management consulting in cash flow, capital formation, marketing, planning, business performance - whatever is needed to promote the development of healthy, viable businesses.

New Hampshire Workforce Opportunity Council
The Workforce Opportunity Council is New Hampshire's statewide workforce board, and is comprised of private industry leaders and state agency officials appointed by the Governor. The Council's responsibilities include oversight of the state's 13 NH Works One Stop Career Centers; administration of programs designed to assist employers, including the New Hampshire Job Training Fund; the Rapid Response program, which assists companies and employees facing layoffs and closures; and funding of high school dropout and dropout prevention programs and other youth programs throughout New Hampshire. The Council has been awarded designation for the nation's next Job Corps Center. The Council works in partnership with state agencies and private industry - and NHMEP - to deliver effective and efficient training and career opportunities for job seekers and employers.

Southern New Hampshire Chapter #253 of The Association for Operations Management (APICS). We are an APICS platinum award chapter. We have been serving the manufacturing and service industries of the Southern New Hampshire Region for over 25 years. We offer education and certification programs - CPIM - Certified in Production and Inventory Management and CSCP -Certified Supply Chain Professional as well as Professional Development Meetings, Networking and Job Listings.

Central New Hampshire Chapter (CENH) of The Association for Operations Management (APICS). APICS builds knowledge and skills in operations management professionals to enhance and validate abilities and accelerate careers. The Central NH Chapter and its partners serve mid-state and northern NH companies by providing local Operations Management** education for all levels of management and practitioner. The Central NH Chapter also provides professional certification courses in CPIM and CSCP programs as well as seminars and professional development meetings to provide continuing state-of-the-art discussion and updates on a variety of related topics. Active membership is a great gateway to networking with other local operations professionals and learning from what others are doing. APICS and CENH are non-profit professional associations. Operations Management includes all of the disciplines of Supply Chain Management including, Purchasing, Production and Inventory Management, Logistics, Distribution and Remanufacturing.

The Grafton County Economic Development Council (GCEDC) seeks to attract and retain businesses to Grafton County. In addition, the GCEDC encourages entrepreneurialism through its technology incubator in Lebanon as well as through a strong network of business assistance providers. The GCEDC utilizes its revolving loan program to provide gap financing for businesses unable to secure the financing they need to grow and create jobs.
