Root Cause: Corrective & Preventive Action

The Workshop:
This training provides participants with the fundamental concepts, principles, tools and job aids to conduct efficient and effective CA/PA. The course covers the CAPA 8D (8 disciplines) method in detail, providing checklists, exercises, tools and more for the 8D system. Companies do not have to be using 8D, they can compare their process to the well-known 8D model, developed by Ford Motor Company, to identify areas for improvement for their CAPA process and tools. 8D method ensures the CAPA process is done effectively and results in sustained prevention of problem recurrence.

The primary goal of using RCA is to analyze problems to identify:

  • What happened
  • How it happened
  • Why it happened so that…
  • Actions to prevent recurrence are developed

Who Should Attend:

  • Continuous Improvement & Quality personnel
  • Business and manufacturing leaders
  • Small and medium sized manufacturers

Participants are encouraged to bring problems or issues from their place of work that can be used as real life exercises in the workshop.
