NH MEP and Local Companies Team Up to Train and Hire NH Workers M.O.S.T. Mobile Training Unit in Keene on Monday, May 21 Training Local People to Fill Skilled Manufacturing Positions With Tidland, Graphicast and Lake Machine On Monday, May 21, the state-of-the-art M.O.S.T. (Machine Operator Skills Training) mobile training unit will be at the Employment Security Office in Keene, training 10 local out-of-work men and women in the skills they need to secure highly skilled computerized manufacturing jobs. M.O.S.T. is a U.S. Department of Labor pilot program launched in the six (6) New England states. The May 21 training will be facilitated by the NH Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NH MEP) in partnership with the Keene Office of Employment Security. The primary goal of M.O.S.T is to address the critical need of local manufacturers fill a rapidly increasing number of vacant Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machine operator positions. The mobile training unit, equipped with computer terminals and interactive machines, will be in Keene for two weeks as trainees are fast-tracked into new careers. Graphicast, Inc., Tidland Corporation and Lake Machine have already committed to interviewing the M.O.S.T. trainees for full-time employment at their companies, which will be followed by a 60-day on-the-job training program. Each company has vacancies at their plant for these skilled workers.
