NH MEP Training Program Helping Out of Work Manufacturers Get Jobs and Training
M.O.S.T. Mobile Training Unit in Somersworth Training Local People
Thursday, April 20 and Friday, April 21 to Fill Skilled Computer Aided Manufacturing Positions With Local Companies
On Thursday, April 20 and Friday, April 21, the state-of-the-art M.O.S.T. (Machine Operator Skills Training) mobile training unit will be at the Wal-Mart in Somersworth, training local out of work men and women in the skills they need to secure highly skilled computerized manufacturing jobs.
The M.O.S.T. program, administered by the six New England divisions of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership including the NH MEP, fills two needs by equipping out of work skilled laborers with new skills and helping local manufacturers fill a rapidly increasing number of vacant Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) machine operator positions with these trainees.
Several New Hampshire manufacturers have already committed to bringing the M.O.S.T. trainees into their companies for a 60-day on the job training program, which could result in full-time employment.
