MEDIA ADVISORY

Senator Judd Gregg Honored for Support of Small Manufacturers
Ceremony to be held on Thursday, October 28 at 3 p.m. at GT Equipment Technologies, 243 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack

In recognition of his tireless support of manufacturers in New Hampshire and across the country, the American Small Manufacturers Coalition (ASMC) together with the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NH MEP) will present Senator Judd Gregg with the ASMC 2004 Legislator of the Year Award at a ceremony on Thursday, October 28 at 3 p.m. at GT Equipment Technologies in Merrimack.

As chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and State, Senator Gregg has long championed the cause of manufacturers and recently was instrumental in restoring a majority of the federal funding for the MEP's national budget. Restoring these funds was vital to keeping the NH MEP in operation after massive budget cuts in January threatened to close the local program.
