Lupine Inc. Receives Quality Manufacturing Certification from NH MEP
NORTH CONWAY, NH – Lupine, Inc. of North Conway, NH a manufacturer of high quality collars and leads for pets has been awarded a "Certificate of Achievement" by the New Hampshire Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NH MEP) for the company's highly successful implementation of Lean Manufacturing.
Lean Manufacturing is a customer focused strategy that shortens the time between customer orders and shipping while maintaining the highest standards of quality by eliminating waste throughout the product manufacturing process. Lean implementation at Lupine Inc. has resulted in significant cost improvements, reduced manufacturing process times, increased plant output and improved on-time deliveries to customers.
Marty Vincent, Director of Operations for the NH MEP presented the certificate to Lupine President Dave Jensen during a brief ceremony recently at the North Conway facility and congratulated the company for their continued efforts to achieve and maintain the highest level of excellence within the industry. "The NH MEP recognizes the hard work and dedication of the Lupine management and employee teams for successfully implementing the Lean process and the excellent results of your efforts," said Vincent.
Dave Jensen, President of Lupine Inc. accepted the award on behalf of his entire team and praised the NH MEP for helping the company decrease production time while increasing customer service. "We are extremely pleased with the relationship we have built with the NH MEP and are proud to receive this certification," said Jensen. "Marty and his team from the NH MEP provided professional guidance and training and worked closely with our highly skilled and motivated team, creating a seamless transition to the concepts and principles of Lean Manufacturing."
By decreasing production time, Lupine Inc. has seen an almost immediate improvement in shipping and delivery time and customer retention.
"Lean Manufacturing has helped us streamline our processes while continuing to produce a high quality product for our customers with close to 100 percent on time delivery," added Jensen. "This allows us to remain competitive in a very challenging market and retain customers that have, in past years, been lost during peak demand periods."
NH MEP is an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology under the U.S. Department of Commerce. The national MEP is a network of manufacturing extension centers that provide business and technical assistance to smaller manufacturers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
