Taking Action with Lean Accounting (click here for details)
Financial executives must be experts at multi-tasking: support the company efforts
focused on creating optimum shareholder value, secure adequate financing
for strategic initiatives, and ensure the financial reporting meets the needs of internal
and external stakeholders. Now, with the adaptation of Lean Manufacturing
philosophies and practices, the financial executive must evaluate how to become
an engaged partner in this transformation.
Taking action with this Lean Accounting workshop will provide a compelling
hands-on understanding of why adaptation of Lean Manufacturing creates
a mandate to challenge traditional cost accounting, and show a new,
high-impact role for the financial professional. An alternative to traditional cost
accounting will be demonstrated.
You will be provided with three new goals for the accounting and finance leader
and staff, and ten specific strategies to reach those goals. In each area, Jean
Cunningham will share her personal experiences as CFO in two Lean Companies.
Jean will reinforce that there is no one right answer or approach, but helps you
create a culture of total involvement that will revolutionize your accounting team
and its ability to impact your company’s future success.
